Simplifying your airport to flight experience.

About The Project
Anxiety is a common factor of a traveler's journey, especially while at the airport. We may experience an array of emotions and have millions of thoughts at different points in our journey. Airports are perfectly suited for indoor navigation because they have the right audience.
Visitors need to find their way inside a large building within a limited time — just before check-in is over. An app that travelers can download and utilize will greatly reduce the stress and anxiety that they often experience while traveling.
Goal
The goal is to design a seamless airport experience for all kinds of travelers by creating
an all-in-one airport guide.
Target Audience
The target audience for this project are different kinds of travelers at an airport.
AGE: 17yrs - 45yrs
DEMOGRAPHIC: Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities
PSYCHOGRAPHIC: City lifestyle, takes business trips, goes for vacations.
PICTURE THIS
You’ve finally reached the airport and are overjoyed to reach your destination. You enter the airport and you’re bombarded with information all over, people all around and suddenly you experience a surge of anxiety. What are the thoughts that run in your mind at that time?

User Personas
As for airports there are many different kinds of travelers that come in, however, through my user study, I identified 5 main kinds that would interact with my system. Meet 2 such personas and their journey - Akshay Gupta & Riddhi Kumar.
1. Akshay Gupta
I travel frequently for work purposes. While at the airport, I like to relax at the lounge catching up on some work. I also enjoy exploring the airport but the fear of flight delays that might affect his business meeting timings constantly worries me. I'd like to be timely updated on my flight information and be able to leisurely explore stores and restaurants while waiting.
2. Riddhi Kumar
I travel to and from my hometown and college once every two months. My flights can often get delayed and that irks me most. I get bored at the airport simply scrolling through Instagram. I'd like to scroll through good food options around the airport while waiting at the gate. Or something else. Just browsing sounds fun. Oh and don't forget about the flight updates. Ugh.
Navigation Flow
The app includes 3 Key footer tabs - Home, Maps/Explore, & Chat Support; and 2 Key header tabs - Menu & Notifications. After having gone through several changes, this is the revised navigation flow for the system. Simplified for Simplifly.
